Llandudno is the beautiful seaside town resort in north Wales. The seaside town has two stunning beaches and hotels which offer Llandudno accommodation for as long as you want. The largest beach is situated between the famous great Orme and little Orme while on the other side of Llandudno is the west shore beach, which sits next to the opening to the Conwy River, surrounded by beautiful sand dunes. Llandudno is a very popular tourist destination with many tourist attractions and popular surrounding towns and villages for all visitors to enjoy.

If you’re planning on visiting Llandudno it may be an idea to stay for a few days to experience and enjoy everything Llandudno has to offer. Things To Do In Llandudno

The Great Orme

The Great Orme is a large limestone hill situated at the end of Llandudno, and it offers many attractions for a visitor. It has a tramway that will take you to the summit of the Great Orme. Here you can enjoy the beautiful views of the area. Also here you can visit the Bronze Age copper mines, and the Great Orme also has a dry ski slope, with a toboggan and a pub with refreshments and great food. The great Orme also offers the longest cable car in Britain. This smooth and breathtaking journey will take you from happy valley (near the bottom of the Great Orme) to the summit. On this cable car you can see the views of Llandudno, the Conwy estuary, Anglesey, the Little Orme and more.

Llandudno Pier

The Llandudno pier is a great place to enjoy a stroll along Llandudno’s award winning pier. The pier was built in 1876 and is a beautiful Victorian construction which stretches 1,234 feet. Here you can enjoy the beautiful views of Llandudno and the Great and Little Orme, but also visit the amusements, enjoy entertainment, cafes, souvenir shops, and a pub.

Venue Cymru

Formerly known as the North Wales Theatre, the newly refurbished Venue Cymru offers its visitor a wide variety of shows. With a seated theatre capacity of 1500 and arena space for 2500 there is a chance to catch some of the UK best touring shows in this beautiful building, while on your vacation. The shows include live music, ballet, pantomime, opera, musicals, children’s entertainment and much more. If visiting Llandudno its worth checking to see what performances are taking place while you are there.

Shopping

Llandudno has a great reputation for shopping. It has a beautiful Victorian Shopping centre which is surrounded by Victorian architecture. Llandudno has lots of shops on its high street also built within the Victorian architecture, which offers traditional boutiques, and also modern high street shops. Next to Llandudno’s traditional shops is the new shopping complex which offers its visitor great modern high street names with the latest fashion and trends.

West Shore

On the other side of Llandudno is the quieter area of the West Shore. Here is the less crowded beach surrounded by sand dunes. This beach offers a great walk with views of the mountains and the Conwy estuary. The West Shore is a quieter residential area which offers quieter Llandudno accommodation. It was here in the West Shore that the real Alice and Wonderland character Alice Liddell, spent her summer holidays as a child from 1862-1871

Snowdonia

Snowdonia national park is one of three nation parks in Wales. This beautiful national park is popular with visitors as it has easy access from roads and rail. It is extremely popular with walkers as it has the mountain Snowdon to offer the biggest mountain in England and Wales.

Conwy

A small town in North Wales which is home to Conwy Castle, a late 13th century castle built by Edward I, during his second invasion into Wales. The castle surrounds Conwy and within the walls are successful shops and business which are inspired by Conwy its history and the surrounding areas. Conwy is full of craft shops, traditional bakeries, galleries, and holds lots of festivals throughout the year. Conwy is defiantly a place to visit when staying in Llandudno.

Caernarfon

If staying in Llandudno why not stay in couple of nights in a Caernarfon hotel. Caernarfon is a beautiful county town in the county of Caernarfonshire in North Wales. It is very popular with visitors due to its famous castle, Caernarfon castle built by King Edward the I. this is one of Wales’ most famous castles as it wasn’t used for defence within the invasion, but to symbolise King Edwards power, as he made sure that his son was born there in 1284, as the first English prince of Wales. Caernarfon also has a rich welsh heritage, and just short of 90% of the residents are welsh speaking. The local resident encourage their visitors to learn and enjoy their lasting cultural welsh town and rich historical past.
